The king is restored. The country is safe. But the enemy is coming.
Nathaniel Fletcher, Logan Harling, and Jacob Douglas have already saved the Kingdom of Riktenburg once. After ousting a group of religious radicals, the Faith, from power, they've put King Phillip back on the throne. Celebrating their success, the men get married and hope to settle down in their new lives.
But nearby Austria has seen the turmoil in Riktenburg as its chance to swallow the tiny kingdom into its growing empire. And the Faith too wants revenge. Together, Austria and the Faith gather their armies and rally their people. They will also have the help of a Riktian traitor Joseph Klein, once the king's friend and minister of war. Now, he wants blood to run through the streets of Riktenburg.
Facing this threat, King Phillip dispatches Nathaniel, Logan, and Jacob on a secret mission to Austria. Their goal assassinate Joseph Klein and prevent the invasion the whole world knows is coming.
The Invasion is the next installment to the heart-racing Uprising Trilogy!

THE GODS' PUNISHMENT (Coming Spring 2013)
The Plague creeps through Athens like a snake. The Spartans ravage and incinerate the countryside. Who will save the City when her world crumbles around her?
Alcibiades, son of Cleinias, has it all beauty, wealth, aspirations of power. He is chased by lovers and admired by the people. He is taught by Socrates, the greatest of minds. His uncle is Pericles, the First Citizen of the City and its strongest voice.
But when Pericles is struck down by the plague and Athens is left without a leader, he longs to fill the power-gap.
Weathering the political maze of the Athenian mob will take all of his not inconsiderable guile. And through all his rises and plummets from grace, the Spartans are waiting to conquer his city. One of them, Chionis, is a friend from earlier days, but will their friendship survive the trials of bloodshed?
When Greece's two most powerful states collide, only one can be left standing. Twisting through the plague-ridden streets of Athens, to the halls of Sparta's kingdom, along the galley decks of navy triremes to the spear-thrust and sword-slash of the battle-lines, one name will rise to thunder above all others Alcibiades, the gods' punishment.
The Invasion Uprising Trilogy Book II eBook Michael Seeley
Mr. Seeley continues his saga of a young Englishman caught up in events of the mid 19th century in this second novel of the Uprising Trilogy. The action is driving, the plot is full of twists, and one can never really predict what will happen next. The themes from the first book continue on, and are expanded on slightly as Imperialist Austria flexes its might and brings with it themes of loss of sovereignty, the use of guerrilla warfare, and issues related to occupying a country and being occupied. Seeley shows a firm grasp of these ideas, and brings them to life. However, his characters do not impress as much. Their motivation was often unclear, and their reasons for choices made were mystifying at points. More characters appear in this novel, and many contribute greatly to expanding the story - especially Mrs. Becke! Some, though, continue speaking with the same voice as many other of the other characters, limiting the interest I had as a reader in the overall cast. Nathaniel, the protagonist of the story, enjoys a thorough fleshing out as a character, but his gain is other characters' loss as the narrative occasionally pushes Nathaniel into situations outside of the believable. These things being said, Mr. Seeley has delivered again, and has put a out another great novel set in an exciting period of history. I can't wait to find out how this cliffhanger of a novel resolves in Book III!Product details
